"BlogJam?" That's a funny name for a Web log, isn't it?

If you really think so, you can thank me. If not, you can blame me. It was my suggestion … one of a few I pitched as possible names for our new Deseret Morning News Features Department Web log, actually.

And it was a follow-up to a few, perhaps less-worthy names like “O-blog-atory” (which was really my personal favorite), “Blogged Up” or even “Blog Rolling.”

Anyway, this blog is supposed to cover a variety of features, arts and entertainment topics, with all members of the features department chipping in with news, trivia and just plain goofy little tidbits. So it won’t just be me “blog hogging” all the time. Though if there’s anything movie-related I should know about, or cover, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

And hey, at least “BlogJam” is a lot better than “Blog-zay” (um, “blase,” get it?) …
