When I was a kid, I loved watching Harvey Korman on “The Carol Burnett Show.”
Over the past 18 years, I’ve participated in several interviews with Korman. I had the chance to see him perform live here in Salt Lake City in 2003.
Korman was also funny, always charming, always entertaining. Even when he was trying to be crotchety and cantankerous.
Few things have ever been funnier than watching Tim Conway make Korman break up during a sketch.
Korman, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 81, also proved that a second-banana can be a first-rate guy.
He’ll be missed. . . .
