Guilty pleasures

OK, I know it’s not going to make us any smarter, but my teenage daughter and I do enjoy watching HGTV’s “Design Star.”

Part of it is because it’s fun to see the contestants design rooms. Rooms we can then praise or trash.

A big part of it is watching the egos clash. And they do indeed clash.

Sometimes we want to watch TV just for the fun of it. Even if we know the shows we’re watching aren’t good.
