Incredible Hulk "Easter eggs"

Sharp-eyed audiences probably noticed many references and homages to the late-’70s “Incredible Hulk” television series in the new movie, such as a Lou Ferrigno cameo, a quick Bill Bixby snippet and the use of the famous “lonely man” musical theme.

But here are a couple of others that might not be so obvious:

– The young college student who records the Hulk-U.S. Army fight on campus is named Jack McGee. Fans of the old TV show may remember a reporter character, played by Jack Colvin, with the same name.

– The origin sequence shown in the film’s opening credits features scientific equipment re-created from the television program.

Also, there are a couple of other references for fans of the Hulk comic books. The Samuel Sterns character played by Tim Blake Nelson is another Hulk villain, the super-intelligent Leader. And the other college student/witness is named Jim Wilson, one of the Hulk’s trusted sidekicks.

Were there any other television or comics references you noticed?
