Here at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills, the Hallmark Channel trotted out a wide array of stars to promote a wide array of upcoming movies.
Jane Seymour, Mark Consuelos, Chandra West, Corbin Bernsen, Florence Henderson, Donna Mills, Edward Asner, Alex Black, Daphne Zuniga, Greg Evigan, Chandra Wilson, Ben Vereen, Tom Arnold, Candace Cameron, Cheech Marin, Ciciely Tyson, Michael Michele, Michael Beach, Lesley Ann Warren and Meredith Baxter were shuttled on and off the stage. They took questions not only about their upcoming movies — after critics had seen 20 seconds of clips — but about other things, including past projects.
The fact is that, by talking about other things, the actors will get stories written about them now as well as when their Hallmark TV movies premiere. And everybody seemed to get that . . . except for Eriq LaSalle, who was known for being difficult when he was on “ER” and doesn’t seem to have changed one bit. LaSalle is still uncooperative.
