My grandfather

On Monday my grandfather passed away. He was 95 years old, but still out doing yardwork.

He was my hero. He was so happy with life, loved people and especially loved his family.

Since I will be out of the office this week, I wanted to leave you with a song lyric that has been in my head since Monday.

The song is from the Alan Parson’s Project’s “Old and Wise.”

Here is the line from the last chorus refrain of this beautiful song:

“… Remember that you were a friend of mine as the final curtain falls before my eyes …”

Those words sum up what my grandfather was all about.
