Have you noticed it’s National Stay At Home Week? ABC declared it so.
Granted, that’s precisely what I’ve been doing as most of my favorite shows are on ABC. Last fall I was sitting around quite pregnant waiting to have a baby, unemployed and watching TV.
So, now I have a few favorites – not to worry, this list continues to shrink on a daily basis, but here are shows I plan on checking out: “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Brothers and Sisters,” “Pushing Daisies,” “Private Practice,” “Dirty Sexy Money,” “The Office,” “30 Rock,” (the last two on NBC)
Wow…. eight shows…. I have eight shows!… When did that happen?! I’ve always been someone who doesn’t watch a lot of TV and suddenly I have eight shows. That doesn’t even count the time I spend in front of HGTV and “What Not To Wear,” or count for the fact that I want to catch up on “Mad Men.”
I was just lamenting with my sibs yesterday that I don’t have time to read anymore, and now I find out I have eight shows.
But just when I start thinking I ought to do something about it, ABC tells me it’s National Stay At Home Week, and I suddenly feel OK about frittering away the last of our lovely fall evenings by wrapping myself in a blanket on the couch and parkin’ it for (on a Wednesday) THREE hours.
I would take this time to declare I’m going to do something about it – but I don’t know which show to drop. And I could probaly give you detailed reasons why I need to keep them.
So, for now, I’m celebrating National Stay At Home Week. Perhaps after the national holiday has come and gone, I can regroup and refocus.
