A call to do some good

Jimmy “The Tooth” Parks, the man who runs the Kollective — a local concert promotion company who has brought in such artists as Anberlin, MxPx, Arcacia Strain and Pendulum to Salt Lake City — has received some tragic news.

His 10-year-old daughter, Baylee Bassett, has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

In an e-mail, Jimmy said Baylee’s “outlook is as good as we can hope for, and the people entrusted in her care are some of the best in the world.”

While sending good thoughts and praying for Baylee is always appreciated, there is still more than can be done.

A trust has been set up at Mountain America Credit Union under the name “Baylee Bassett Parks.” Anyone can go to a MACU branch and make a donation of any amount.

For you who would rather send a donation directly to the family may do so by sending it to:

Baylee Parks
C/o The Parks Family
786 Enchanted Drive
Midvale, Utah 84047

The Parks have a myspace page

www.myspace.com/parksfamilyfive

That will give weekly updates on how Baylee is doing with her radiation and chemotherapy treatments.

We’re praying for you, Baylee.
