All is well

Last night, I caught the sold-out Metallica show at the EnergySolutions Arena.

My ears are still ringing. My voice is shot. All is well with the world.

Anyway, as I was taking in the sights and sounds, taking notes and playing air drums, someone behind me tapped me on the shoulder.

I turned and he asked, “Weren’t you at Metallica something like 15 years ago at Wolf Mountain?”

“I sure was,” I said.

“I remember you taking notes and drumming during that show,” he said. “You were right behind me.”

Wow, to think I’ve been reviewing concerts for 15 years. And to also think that Metallica is still around to sell out shows some 25 years after releasing its debut album, “Kill ‘Em All.”

Oh, yeah. And just think the two of us after all these years are still going to Metallica shows.

Awesome!
