Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, three big studio films are opening next Wednesday:
— “Australia” (rated PG-13), a World War II epic about cattle ranchers starring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman.
— “Four Christmases” (rated PG-13), which teams Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon as a couple forced to spend the holidays with their families.
— “Transporter 3” (rated PG-13), the return of the tough-as-nails chauffeur character played by Jason Statham.
Also, the local art-house theaters will feature two new releases that day as well: The Swedish vampire movie “Let the Right One In” (rated R) and “A Christmas Tale” (not rated), a French comedy-drama about a particularly dysfunctional family.
