“American Idol” runner-up and Utah’s favorite son David Archuleta has announced his first solo U.S. tour.
Right now Salt Lake City is not on the itinerary.
In fact, there are no Utah dates. The closest venues are in Idaho — Boise and Idaho Falls. Oh, and he is playing Reno, Nev.
That’s funny to me, but I’m warped.
The tour starts in Virginia Beach, Va., on Feb. 24 and runs through the Boise date on March 21.
But Archie fans shouldn’t fret. I bet he’ll schedule a homecoming date sometime after the Boise show.
In the meanwhile, here is the current list of David’s tour dates. Make note that Lesley Roy, Archuleta’s Jive records label mate, will open the show:
