The opening for the Hannah Montana film was impressive, especially considering that most of its tickets were discounted, children’s admissions. However, the film also did half of its business on opening day, Friday. The Saturday and Sunday drop-offs were pretty big, though, and the film is already starting to lag behind the No. 2 movie, “Fast and Furious.”

Speaking of that film, it continued to do well and it has already passed the $100 million mark. And DreamWorks Animation’s “Monsters vs. Aliens” continued to hold up well.

However, two other new releases — the R-rated “Observe and Report” and the PG-rated “Dragonball: Evolution” — had less-than-impressive openings.
