Bedeviled by 'Trek' (weekend movie box-office)

The $48 million earned by the “Da Vinci Code” prequel paled in comparison to its predecessor’s $77 million opening. And a strong second weekend by the “Trek” re-imagining made it a much-closer race than analysts were expecting.
That film is also closing in on the “X-Men Origins” feature and looks certain to break the $200 million mark.
However, all three of these movies face stiff competition this weekend — from the new “Terminator” movie, which is being released on Thursday.
