On Wednesday, May 27, PBS is doing another “Great Performances.” This time it will focus on the Tony Award-wining musical, “In The Heights,” in a documentary titled, “In The Heights: Chasing Broadway Dreams.”
“In The Heights: Chasing Broadway Dreams” follows the cast and creative team, led by composer-lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda (center), of the Tony Award-winning In the Heights as they embark on the production of an original musical.

The documentary was shot while the show was preparing for its risky move from off-Broadway to the Great White Way. With behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the shows creators and actors, it looks like it’s going to be a wonderful taste of truly chasing a Broadway dream.
