The “Transformers” sequel opened huge, and nearly broke several existing records in the process. After five full days of business it has already passed the $200 million mark.

And with another steady weekend, Disney-Pixar’s “Up” passed “Star Trek” to become the year’s biggest film. Its reign will be short, however. “Transformers 2” should pass it pretty quickly, though it’s unclear if that film has the “legs” to reach “Dark Knight” or “Titanic” status.

Also, “The Hangover” now appears to have a shot at reaching $200 million as well. That’s almost unheard of, for an R-rated comedy.
