Suspenseful … and free!

The Gallivan Center, 239 S. Main, is sponsoring a series of free movies Monday evenings throughout the month of July. The series kicked off this week with “Rear Window” (1954), and all of the films were directed by the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock.

Other films in the series include:

– “Dial M For Murder,” 1954. (July 13)
– “Vertigo,” 1958. (July 20)
– “The Birds,” 1963. (July 27.

The films were all made before ratings, but most of them would receive either a PG or PG-13 by today’s standards. Screenings start as dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.).
