Beatles comic

Comic books about rock ‘n’ roll bands and artists is nothing new.

Everyone from Kiss to Love and Rockets have had their own comic books.

Well, Bluewater Productions and Revolutionary Comics have teamed up to bring more than 70 rock bands and rock legends to comic pages in 10 bi-monthly volumes from Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics starting with “The Beatles Experience.”

Just so you all know, Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics emerged in the 1990s and featured unlicensed biographies of U2, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi and Motley Crue.

And while some of the bands such as Motley Crue and Bon Jovi sued on grounds of copyright infringement, others like Gun N’ Roses threatened, but never took the publishing company to court.

However, Rock ‘N’ Roll Comics won many of the lawsuits, citing the First Amendment and securing the right to publish the comics as “illustrated articles,” according to Bluewater Productions.

“The Beatles Experience,” which hit the stores and <a href="http://www.amazon.com ” target=”_blank”>www.amazon.com
yesterday, will kick off the series which will also include full issues about Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, and compilation issues about music eras and styles.

It will be interesting to see how the others turn out.
