Bob Marley

This past week, my youngest daughter, Kaitlyn, has wanted to hear Bob Marley while I drive her to school.

Her favorite song is “Three Little Birds.”

“When I hear that song before school, I get so happy,” she told me.

So, we’ve been having Bob Marley mornings.

Incidentally, Allyson, my oldest, likes “Three Little Birds” as well.

My favorite song is the remix of “Iron Lion Zion,” and my wife digs “Easy Skanking.”

Seriously, though, there are so many good Bob Marley tunes — “Coming in From the Cold,” “One Love,” “Ride Natty Ride,” “Jammin’,” “Is This Love,” “Stir It Up,” “Survival,” “Natural Mystic,” “No Woman, No Cry”…

The list goes on.

Over the weekend, we put some Bob Marley into Kaitlyn’s iPod, and when we came to “Exodus,” she said when she was younger, she misunderstood the lyrics.

“I thought he was singing ‘pixie dust.’ “
