Listen up Bon Jovi fans

Hey Bon Jovi Fans, May 11 is your day.

That’s when the band will re-release all their classic studio albums in remastered special-edition packages that will also include select live recordings as bonus tracks.

The band broke on to the scene in 1983 with the self-titled disc that included the hits “Runaway” and “She Don’t Know Me.”

Interesting fact is the band wasn’t even a band when “Runaway” was recorded. Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi recorded the song with studio musicians. When the song got popular in his hometown of Sayreville, N.J., he got the band together.

Since then, Bon Jovi’s compadres have included guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan and drummer Tico Torres.

Original bassist Alec John Such was let go in 2000 and replaced by Hugh McDonald, whom, by the way, was the original bassist on “Runaway.”

Anyway, on May 11, the self titled album – along with 1985′s “7,800 Fahrenheit,” 1986′s “Slippery When Wet,” 1988′s “New Jersey,” 1992′s “Keep the Faith,” 1995′s “These Days,” 2000′s “Crush,” 2002′s “Bounce,” 2005′s “Have a Nice Day” and 2007′s “Lost Highway” – will, according to Universal Music, feature new artwork, liner notes and reproductions of laminated tour credentials.

In addition, the bonus-tracks will be live recordings taken from each album’s original tours.

Hopefully this will help appease Utah’s fans because, as of yet, the band hasn’t scheduled a Salt Lake City date for it’s current tour in support of the new album “The Circle.”
