To Mary Matsumori

When my wife and I were on vacation a couple of weeks ago, a dear friend of mine passed away.

Mary Matsumori was my “mission mom” when I was serving an LDS Church Mission in Tokyo, Japan.

She had a quiet but strong and comforting demeanor. She was also my grandfather’s sister-in-law. So we were related.

We weren’t able to attend her viewing or funeral last week. So I would like to dedicate George Winston’s piano version of the Japanese folk song “Music Box” to her.

The Japanese title of the song is “Koujou No Tsuki,” which means “Friendship Moon.”

Goodbye, Sister Matsumori. You will be missed.
