Ali-Ollie Woodson

I was not in the office when the news came that Ali-Ollie Woodson of the Temptations passed away.

Woodson, who died May 30, after battling cancer, came into the Temptations lineup in 1984 and was the lead vocalist on the group’s hits “Sail Away, “Treat Her Like a Lady” and “Lady Soul.”

His voice sounded much like the man he replaced, Dennis Edwards, and he helped the Temptations carry on in the ’80s.
