My little graduate

Tomorrow my youngest graduates from Carden Memorial School.

That means she’ll be a high school freshman in September.

I can’t believe how fast her years at Carden have passed. It only seems like last month when I enrolled her.

Oh, and she’s as tall as me. (Which, by the way, isn’t that big of a deal). But I always will remember her as this little precocious child who knew the word “ominous” but couldn’t pronounce “spatula.”

There are a few of songs racing through my head as I write. The first is Pink Floyd’s “Time.”

The second is the Alan Parson’s Project’s “Time.” The third is Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle.” And then I have Al Stewart’s “Time Passages” and finally, for some reason, Styx’s “Too Much Time on My Hands,” which, of course, isn’t the case.

Anyway, congratulations to my graduate. I’m proud of her.
