Salt Lake City will be one of the 12 cities hosting “Twilight Night,” an event featuring free screenings of two of the “Twilight” movies based on Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling series of vampire novels.
The local screenings will be June 26 at Fairmont Park, 2361 S. 900 East, and will include “Twilight” (2008) and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” (2009). Doors open at 6 p.m. Both films are rated PG-13.
According to publicists for Summit Entertainment, the screening events are being held to publicize the opening of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” the third movie, which is being released nationally June 30.
Various stars from the movies will be appearing at the screening events. Actors Charlie Bewley (Demetri) and Julie Jones (Leah Clearwater) are scheduled to make an appearance in Salt Lake City. Activities on the tour stop include contest and prize giveaways, as well as the cast Q&As.
