Lilith Fair Cancels Salt Lake City show

Citing economic challenges, Terry McBride, co-founder of Lilith Fair, announced it was canceling 10 show on the tour.

Salt Lake’s show, which was scheduled for July 12 at the USANA Amphitheatre, is one of them.

The others are Montreal; Raleigh, N.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; Tampa, Fla.; Birmingham, Ala., and all three Texas shows — Austin, Houston and Dallas.

Refunds are available at all points of purchase.

“We are in the midst of the most challenging summer concert seasons with many tours being cancelled outright,” McBride said in a Lilith Fair press release. “Everyone involved with the tour would like to apologize to the fans and artists…”

Well, I’m bummed.

I saw the first Lilith Fair in 1998, and it was one of the best events I’ve ever attended, and I was looking forward to attending this year.
