Singer-songwriter, almost professional skateboarder and frequent Jack Johnson touring buddy Matt Costa brings his mix of laid back folk, pop, and even some country and Beatles-esque psychedelia to The Complex tonight.
In 2001, Costa was on the verge of becoming a professional skateboarder when a major leg break put him out of commission for several months. During that time, he learned to play the guitar, wrote songs, and ended up getting a demo tape in the hands of No Doubt guitarist Tom Dumont.
Since then, Costa has released three albums. His most recent is Mobile Chateau which also marked his producing debut.
Costa is live tonight at The Complex, 536 West 100 South.
