More big concert announcements this week in Utah. At least one of them I didn’t see coming.
Going in order of appearance here:
The USANA Amphitheatre keeps adding artists as they aim to have their best summer ever.
The Zac Brown Band will make what I think is their first ever appearance at USANA on July 9. ZBB’s Jekyll + Hyde Tour is in support of their latest album, due out in April.
Another first, Kelly Clarkson, fresh off delivering a new album and a new baby, is getting right back into touring mode. She’ll make her USANA debut on August 8.
Did anyone see this one coming?
She’s sold close to 100 million albums worldwide. She has one of the top 10 biggest selling albums of all-time. And the number of times she has played live in Utah since 1998? Just 2.
Before Taylor Swift, before Carrie Underwood or even Kelly Clarkson, there was Shania Twain.
She was arguably the biggest music star in the world at one point. Now she returns to Utah to say both ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’ as she has announced that this will be her last tour.
Twain has been doing the Vegas residency thing for awhile now following time off to have a baby and high-profile divorce. The last time she performed in Salt Lake City was at the height of her popularity in 2003 with an in-the-round major stage production show at the Delta Center.
Twain returns to the now Energy Solutions Arena on Aug. 15.
